Albert Kimble

Rev. Albert Kimble was born in Lexington, Mississippi, on September 12, 1962, to Louis and Claudine B. Kimble Townsend. He departed this life on May 2, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.He was a proud graduate of Southside High School, Class of 1981. Albert confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a young man. He joined Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor James E. Pugh and was baptized. As he grew in the Lord, he accepted the call of God into the ministry and went on to attend Brewster Theological Clinic and School of Religion, founded by Dr. W. Herbert Brewster. Having honorably completed the course of study as prescribed by the faculty and board, Albert received his Bachelor of Theology on July 11, 1990. He later joined New Sardis Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. L. LaSimba M. Gray, Jr., where he served faithfully as an Associate Minister of the Gospel until his departure. Albert was recognized by the Golden Circle Ministry of New Sardis for his history-making Children’s Hour, among other accomplishments. He was currently an employee of Federal Express Corporation for 38 years. Albert loved his job and his colleagues in Aircraft Maintenance. He was the owner of several businesses, including Kimble Management Cleaning Service, where he was awarded several cleaning contracts with Shelby County Government, Kimble Management Income Tax Service and A. K. Communications. He was also an active appointed state of Tennessee notary public. Although Albert accomplished remarkable things during his sixty years on this earth, his greatest accomplishment and joy was being a husband and a father. He married the love of his life, Pamela, on October 11, 1983, and two children, Albert, Jr., and Jasmine, were born out of that union. It was clear that Albert and Pam had ‘no ordinary love’ and the legacy thereof will continue to inspire others for years to come. A lover of God, a faithful husband, a loving father, family provider, dependable, hardworking, compassionate, strong, confident, loyal, friendly, caring, quiet, fighter, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, UNFORGETTABLE; yes, that is the one and only Albert Kimble. He leaves to cherish his memories a dedicated and loving wife, Pamela Denise Kimble; one daughter, Jasmine Nichol Kimble; his mother, Claudine K. Townsend; one brother, Herman (Jeanette) Kimble; three sisters, Dorothy Kimble, Carmen Kimble, and Angela (Terry) Redden; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Walls; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joyce Ballard-Bankston, Mary (James) Pugh, Mary Kimble, Debra (Jerry) Amis, Michael (Sherry) Walls, and Doris J. Walls; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and close friends. Albert was preceded in death by his son, Albert Kimble, Jr.; his father, Louis Kimble; three brothers, Louis Kimble, Jr., Melvin Kimble, and Michael Kimble; his father-in-law, Lawrence Walls; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Nat) Anthony Walls; and his nephew, Darell “Scootie” Aldridge, Jr.
