Today, as we gather to celebrate the life of a truly remarkable individual, let us remember Jandra, with sweet memories, uplifting stories, and a joyful spirit. Born on March 6, 1972, to William Patton and Jessica Price, she faced adversity at a young age, contracting Meningitis at three months old. Through a groundbreaking surgery that left a scar on her head, she became one of the first to survive, defying the odds set before her. Although given a 50/50 chance of leading a "normal" life, she exceeded all expectations, walking and achieving far more. Jandra was a force to be reckoned with, embodying unwavering strength and determination throughout her entire life. Her love knew no bounds, radiating from her in abundance. She possessed a heart that overflowed with thoughtfulness and kindness, always ready to lend an ear to anyone in need. She was there for everyone, offering guidance and support. Her smile was like a sunbeam, illuminating every room she entered; it was contagious with warmth that could brighten even the gloomiest of days. She fearlessly embraced life's challenges, demonstrating boundless courage in everything she pursued. Not only was she a fantastic daughter, honoring her mother and father, but she held her sisters: Angela, LeOntyna, Antoinette, and Aquinette in high admiration, while she adored her brothers James, John and Winston and Lloyd Price who preceded her in death. Her greatest desire was to see everyone around her happy and thriving. Jandra possessed an incredible ability to forgive, never holding grudges. In relationships, she willingly shouldered the burdens of her loved ones, showing unwavering support. Simultaneously, her loving life partner, Mr. Larry Eason reciprocated that same unwavering, devoted, and supportive love for Jandra throughout their loving relationship until Jandra’s transition. Jandra possessed a remarkable skill of adaptability, effortlessly transitioning between different environments, whether bougie or hood. She had a unique gift for meeting people where they were, always embracing their differences with open arms. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she would selflessly give her last to those in need. She had a knack for showing up at every event, spreading her infectious enthusiasm like a human PA system. At the tender age of 16, she embraced motherhood with grace and strength. She possessed the heart of a fierce mama bear, fiercely protecting her three children. She leaves behind two sons and one daughter: Princeton White, Jamal Price, sand Mikhail Stout-Walls along with three grandchildren Jayda Bailey, Demetrius Walls II, and Myles Walls and one great granddaughter Journey Mosley. After her diagnosis, she viewed life through a different lens, finding profound happiness and a deep appreciation for love. She often said, "A man can be broken in body, but not broken in spirit!"—a testament to her unwavering courage. As we bid our farewell to this extraordinary soul, let us carry her legacy of strength, love, and resilience with us. May her spirit continue to inspire us, reminding us to face life's challenges with determination and an unwavering belief in the power of love.
