Jasmine Nichol Kimble JD

Jasmine Nichol Kimble, J.D. was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 23, 1987 to Reverend Albert and Pamela Denise Kimble. She departed this life on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at home where she knew that she was loved unconditionally and in her mother’s arms. Raised in the church from an infant, Jasmine attended Hopewell M.B. Church with her parents under the leadership of Pastor James E. Pugh. After relocating to Germantown, TN, the Kimble family joined New Sardis Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. L. LaSimba M. Gray, Jr. Jasmine shocked her father and mother when she walked down the aisle from the rear of the church alone, and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at the tender age of 7 years old and was baptized by her father, Reverend Albert Kimble. Jasmine continued to grow in stature and in the Lord as she blossomed into a beautiful young woman and matured as a natural leader. As a proud graduate of Kirby High School, class of 2006, Jasmine went on to further her education as she attended the University of Memphis. Being the first in her mother’s lineage to graduate college, Jasmine received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, class of 2010. It was evident that Jasmine was full of wisdom, intelligence and potential, as she blazed the trail at New Sardis Baptist Church, making history at the age of 23 years old, being the youngest in the church’s history to be appointed a seat on the Board of Trustees. Continuing to strive for excellence, Jasmine joined the local Memphis Institute for Leadership Education and was accepted into the Leader Shape Institute, successfully completing its curriculum. Beloved by many because of her kind heart and soft-spoken voice, Jasmine used her voice to speak on behalf of those who did not have a voice. Driven by her passion and love for others, Jasmine broke many barriers and blazed yet another trail as she applied herself with much dedication and was accepted into Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA. She graduated with honors and received her Juris Doctorate Degree, class of 2014. Jasmine’s love for her family was unprecedented. Her mother was her inspiration and admiration. Her father was her everything…a daddy’s girl, she truly was. Adored by her family and friends, Jasmine made a mark in this earth that cannot be erased. She will be sorely missed, but her beautiful spirit and legacy will live on forever. She leaves to cherish her lovely memories, her dedicated and loving mother, Pamela Denise Kimble; her grandmothers, Dorothy Jean Walls and Claudine K. Townsend; her aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives, many close friends and mentors. Jasmine was preceded in death by her father, Albert Kimble; her brother, Albert Kimble, Jr.; and her grandfathers, Lawrence Walls, and Louis Kimble.
