Paula Webb

A Time to be Born…. Paula Antoinette Webb is the only child of Ms. Paulette Brackins and the late Allen Webb. She was born February 7, 1967 in Moulton, AL. A Time to Learn… Paula’s early years began at Moulton Elementary School. She later graduated from Moulton High School. After graduation, she enrolled at the University of North Alabama (UNA), where she was a Business major. As a social butterfly and having a desire to serve her local community and all mankind, she became a member of Nu Omicron Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Oh, how she loved her AKA! A Time to serve and to plant… At a young age, Paula confessed hope in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She was baptized and became a part of the body of believers at the Moulton Missionary Baptist Church. There she developed her love for God, gospel music and the gift of singing, as a member of the choir. When she moved to Huntsville, AL, her work for the Kingdom was not left behind. She soon united with Union Chapel MB Church and faithfully served in several capacities. After moving to Memphis, TN she served faithfully at Oak Grove MB Church before joining the Lift Church family where she continued her work as a board member, praise & worship leader, financial secretary, hospitality committee, and other various ministries to include youth leader, music ministry, bible study teacher, and Sunday school teacher. Maintaining relationships with family and friends has always been important to Paula. Her demonstration of love included conversations that could last for hours. She was always concerned about the well-being of others. Traveling distances near or far, to celebrate life’s accomplishments for you and/or your children, was an absolute joy! Whatever life presented, she was there to cheer you on, offer encouragement, a prayer or just a listening ear. Paula’s love for people served her well for 17 years at Nike, and more recently at Southwest Tennessee Community College, where her managers and clients were beneficiaries of her stellar customer service. Paula always did unto others as she would have them to do unto her, demonstrating the spirit of excellence by always going above and beyond the call of duty. She touched many lives with her contagious smile and her positive infectious energy. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing, fellowshipping with family and friends and watching sports, particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers. A Time to love… It has been said, you don’t know love until you become a parent. Becoming a mother was one of Paula’s greatest joys. She LOVED her children, Travionna and Clayton, unconditionally. They were always at the forefront of every decision she made. A Time to Die…. Paula fought the good fight and kept the faith, but her time on earth came to an end. Surround by loved ones, she departed this life December 28, 2022, at Methodist University Hospital (Memphis, TN). Her legacy and love for her family and friends will live forever. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, whom she loved dearly, Travionna and Clayton Webb (Memphis, TN), her mother, Paulette Brackins (Moulton, AL), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
