Sandra Chillis

Reflections of Life A Time To Be Born Mrs. Sandra Lorean Alexander Chillis was born on January 28, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Rodell Alexander Jr., and Dorothy B. Alexander. A Time To Live Sandra confessed hope in Christ as a child. She was baptized at the Church of the Living God under the pastorate of the late Jefferson H. Taylor. She sang in the Youth Choir and later in the Young Adult Choir. Sandra had excellent leadership skills and organized two singing groups entitled “Sparkles of Harmony” and “ Heaven’s Dynamic Chocolate Drops”. She was an entrepreneur and owner of two nail salons and a massage parlor for many years. Wade and Sandra were also founders and directors of an Outreach Ministry, “God’s Direct Command Center” that focused on the less fortunate and homeless. She was a Prophetess and a Prayer Warrior. She was a 1974 graduate of The Booker T. Washington High School. A Time To Love One of the happiest moments of Sandra’s life was when she married the love of her life, Wade A. Chillis. They were married for 45 years after dating 6.5 years. Their home was built on love, family, and biblical principles. To this union was born one child, Dr. Porsha Adelle Chillis. They also had one God-sent son, Larry Connell Strong. Sandra’s mother, father, two brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death. A Heart Of Love And Compassion The Chillis home was a place of hospitality for family and friends. Whatever the occasion, their home was warm and comforting to all who entered it. Sandra was a great cook and excellent at making homemade cakes. The Destiny Fulfillment On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, God dispatched His angels to escort Sandra Chillis from Earth to Glory. A Time To Cherish Mrs. Sandra Chillis leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved husband, Wade A. Chillis; her daughter, Dr. Porsha A. Chillis; a God-sent son, Larry Strong (Cheryl); three brothers, Harold Alexander, Lowell Alexander, and Jefferey Cole (Arethea); four sisters, Parthenia Barnett (Sam), Dr. Phyllis Hampton (Lawrence), Reva Conner, and Tamara Pugh (Rolandas); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Chillis was preceded in death by two brothers; Joe Alexander, and Calvin Sims, Sr.; and two sisters, Bettye Rice and Norma Alexander.
