Mrs. Annette F. Cole heard the Spiritual Father say, Well done, My good and faithful daughter, come on home.” The universe giveth and the universe taketh. Annette answered that call on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Annette Fay Cole was born April 13, 1938, to the late Louisanna Reed Doggett and the late Amos Doggett, Sr. She professed Christ at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Mason, the founder of the Church of God in Christ. Annette was preceded in death by her husband, Joe B. Cole; her daughter, Phyllis Denise Cole; her sister, Martha E. Woods (John Woods); brother, Amos Doggett; and sister, Daisy Mae Catchings (Ernest Catchings). Annette leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Anita Carter; twin sister, Amanda “Manette” Weddignton; two grandchildren, Stephanie Annette Carter and Travis Joseph Carter (wife, Lydia Kumar Carter); two great-grandchildren, Aiden Joe Carter and Arion Jace Carter; a host of other relatives and friends; and special friends, Diane and Charlie Thompson of California. Annette was very active in her community by reaching out to many seniors in nursing homes in Memphis and surrounding cities. She was very active in the church community under the leadership of Bishop Jasper Porter at Beulahland Church of God in Christ. She retired from the University of Tennessee Hospital.
