Mrs. Jacqueline Hughes was born February 7, 1966, to Dorothy Hillard and David Lee Hillard. She departed this life on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Jackie “Red” was employed with Shelby County Government for fifteen-plus years. She was so vibrant, loving, and very family-oriented. Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Hillard; her father, David Hillard; sister, Tawana Hillard; grandmother, Louvenia Gross; and her mother-in-law, Lucy Hughes. Mrs. Jacqueline “Red” Hughes leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Shenika Hughes and Keoshia Hughes (Jeremy McDade); one granddaughter, Reniya Lawrence; one grandson, Kingston McDade; one sister, Amy Hillard; one brother, David Hillard; one niece, Erica Hillard; two nephews, Robtavious Hillard and Darryl Wright; her special aunt, Shirley Gross-Sample; special uncle, Robert Gross; god-daughter, Chimere Miller; best friend, Crystal Washington; the father of her children, Henry Hughes; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
