Rev. Letroy Patterson

December 23, 1952 - January 6, 2022

Rev. Letroy Patterson was born December 23, 1952 in Tunica, MS to Payton and Rosetta Patterson who preceded him in death. He was one of 24 children. In 1996, he married Mattie Tyler and to that union two lovely daughters were born. Whether you knew him as husband, father, brother, cousin, uncle, neighbor and/or friend, Letroy was definitely a blessing to anyone graced to be in his presence. He was a warm welcoming soul with a beautiful spirit! Rev. Patterson professed his faith in Christ at an early age, he was baptized and he answered the call to ministry. In 1996, Rev. Patterson joined New St Paul Baptist Church and there he served faithful as a minister until 2013. He was known as a dynamite singer with a real zeal for preaching the Word of God. In addition to being a minister, he was also an awesome cook, an avid hunter, a devote fisherman, a terrific gardener and a die hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. On January 6, 2022, Rev. Patterson departed this earth. He leaves to mourn his passing seven children; three sons: Marcus (Jauvette), Kacey Patterson, Jamario Patterson, four daughters: Julethra Glasper, Lacresha Stegall (Marcus) and Brittney Patterson (Tibyea Angelo) all of Memphis, TN, Tameka Crawford (Corey) of San Antonio, TX. He was grandpa to thirteen grand & great grandchildren: (Tieranie, Miracle, Tiya, Chloe, Halo, Marcus Jr, Makayla, Makiya, Mya, KaNashe, Kaciney, Kaden and K’Anna). He also leaves to cherish his memory five sisters: Jettie M. Madden, Reather Smith, Bobbie Bowdery (William), Lisa Stevenson (Joe), Ruby McCracken; six brothers: Steven Patterson, Melvin Patterson (Belinda), Louis Patterson (Louise), J. B. Patterson (Deb), Joe Patterson (Tracy) and Leo Patterson and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
