Lillie Mae Jones

April 4, 1939 - February 18, 2022

Lillie Mae Cotton was born April 4, 1939, to the late Robert Cotton Sr. and Susie. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Progressive Baptist Church on Vance Avenue by Rev. O. C. Collins, where her membership remained until she united with Shelby Forest Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Duffy Guyton, and continued her membership under the leadership of the current pastor, Rev. Kevin Snider. She was united in marriage to Andrew Carnegie Allen from 1959 until 1977, James Andrew Howell from 1987 until 1994, and Deotcha Lee Jones from 2004 until 2007. A Time of Rejoicing We are confident in knowing that Lillie has entered into the joy of God’s eternal life. She leaves to cherish and rejoice in precious memories her three sons, Jaycee Allen, Andrew “Chinny” Allen, and Tony D. Allen; her baby sister, Cassie Lee Cotton; five brothers, Zebic D. Cotton, Ezell Cotton, James Cotton, Shedrich Cotton, and Sammie Lee Cotton; grandchildren, David Chase West, Andrew Carnegie Allen IV, Adrian Allen, Denzel Sewell, AJ Allen, Kayla Allen, Christina Allen and Christopher Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Allie V. Gordan, Robert “Sonnyman” Cotton, Jr., Willie B. Cotton, Mildred Cotton, and Rosie Lee Cotton.
