A diamond by the name of Tanisha Nicole Johnson was born December 27, 1976, to Charles and Sharia Johnson in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the youngest of two daughters created by this union. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age at Church of the Nazarene in Memphis, Tennessee. Tanisha, affectionately known as Nisha, was kind, helpful, loving, outspoken, selfless, spontaneous, and adventurous. She was always willing to give to others, even when she was not in the position to. Nisha was the life of the party and was sure to bring joy to the atmosphere. She was fiercely loyal and loved with no limits. There was nothing she would not do for her loved ones. She had a captivating spirit that no one could deny. The joys of her world began with her journey into motherhood. Her first son, Martavious D. Johnson, was born August 18, 1995. Her only girl, Vernisha T. Johnson, was born January 8, 1999. Her youngest boys, Vertel J. Johnson, was born April 13, 2001, and Zachary L. Johnson was born February 7, 2005. There was nothing she would not do for her heartbeats. Tanisha found her home at Innovation Church in the heart of Frayser under the leadership of Pastor Marron Thomas. She served on the Connect Team, the Bookstore, and the Praise Team. She was an undeniable lyrist who was sure to steal the show. Everyone knew Nisha to have unwavering faith or Stupid Faith as she would say. Tanisha will forever be immortalized by her father and mother, Charles and Sharia Johnson; her children, Martavious, Vernisha, Vertel, and Zachary Johnson; and her sisters, LaTonya Coleman (Darian), Trina Johnson, Angela Cornes, Rachel Cornes, and Kimberly Johnson. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, church members and friends. Tanisha was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Johnson, Jr.
