Bernard Moore

Bernard Moore was born on April 9, 1958 in Walls, MS to the late Alice Waller and Sam E. Green. Bernard confessed his belief in Christ at an early age in Lake Cormorant, MS and later he became a member of Greater Mt. Hermon M.B. Church in Memphis, TN under the late Pastor Melvin Veasey. Ben had a love for trucks and was a hard worker at a very early age as he was his mother’s oldest son and helped to take care of all of his siblings. Ben worked for many large truck lines in Memphis for over 35 years whic h included: Budweiser, Spectrum Ceramics, CSX Railroad, Service By Air, Aero Bonded Warehouse, Worley & Wooten Transportation. Ben was forced into retirement in 2015 after a car accident but that didn’t stop him as he continued to live his life and dedicated most of his time with his grandchildren and family. Ben was a role model to many and was a great father, friend and provider. Bernard fathered one daughter (Tameka) in 1977. In 1982 Ben met and married the love of his life Geraldine Harris Moore who preceded him in death (2019) and of this union two children were born Bernard Jr. & Alisha. Later Ben met Linda Faye Donnerson whom he shared his love and life with until he departed this earthly life. Bernard departed this life suddenly at 3:15am on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Alice Waller and Sam E. Green, three sisters, Lee Evelyn Green- Morgan, Linda Smith-Cotton, Hattie Rudley and one brother, Warren Leonard Jr. Bernard leaves to cherish his legacy and loving memories, the love of his life Linda Faye Donnerson, his daughters, Alisha Moore-Carr (Harry), Tameka Anderson-Griffin(Napoleon) and his only son, Bernard Moore Jr.(Kym)., Six handsome grandsons, Bryson Bernard Moore, Harry Leroy Carr Jr, Alex Bernard Carr, Mason Gerald Carr, Dereck Whitlock and Ereck Whitlock; four granddaughters, Miracle Husbands, Ciara Williams, Kaitlynn Grant and Zoe Carr; four loving sisters, Pauline Jefferson, Alberta Smith, Lonnie Beaman, Carolyn Smith and Sarah Powell; three loving brothers, Douglas Moore (Gwendolyn), Richard Smith Jr. (Nicole), and Will Tony Smith(Nyla). He also leaves his only aunt Penny Lee Scott, a special brother-in-law Henry Donnerson (Charlette), sister-in-law Henri Etta Donnerson and mother-in-law Betty Jean Donnerson, and an entire host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, friends, neighbors and coworkers all of whom he loved dearly.
